Skilled in additive manufacturing, research, and Human Centered Design.
As an ISO9001:2015 certified company, I'm part of the Quality Management System team.
I'm in charge of coordinating with the team every step in the manufacturing process, transferring the product design into additive manufacturing specifications, and validating the production suitability.
I am responsible for the design, development, and preparation of the mechanical parts, 2D drawings, digital simulations, and manufacturing process.
Working with a multidisciplinary team has taught me a lot in different design and engineering areas.
I´ve been working as a freelancer since 2016, developing a wide range of products like furniture, exhibition stands, jewelry, and many others for individuals and companies.
Definitely the best projects are the ones that you have never worked before.
My main job is to make the convergence between creative and logical thinking to provide tangible solutions, making them possible using technology to move from a raw sketch to a physical product, also improving products by applying design methodologies and testing.
The product development process requires many fields and abilities in order to be done the right way.
These are some fields that I have experience on, and that have helped me to understand the real needs of the users and the best solution for them.
Applying research, conceptualization, and iteration methodologies, I can develop products for the final user, having constant training to improve my abilities.
The main idea of this is to emphasize with the final customer generating journey maps, personas, usability analysis, etc. to understand the user and their real needs.
It opens the opportunity to develop complex products that couldn't be manufacture using other traditional methods, improving performance, lead time, and logystic-related costs.
To achieve specific objectives on time, there are multiple methods like SCRUM or LEAN, processes, skills, and cognitive knowledge needed to fulfill the criteria agreed with the clients.
I currently work designing mechanical parts on demand for different customers, mainly for the Maritime, Automotive, and construction industries.
I have to make different simulations and digital tests to save time and money, making sure these parts will meet the performance requirements.
That was one of the most exciting projects that I've been part of; this little startup was developing a modular mobility product with exchangeable items depending on the kind of experience you want to have, like a guide stick, a sail, or use it as a longboard.
There was an option to make it electric.
The city where I'm from (Guadalajara, Jalisco), is well-known as a furniture-producer city. This is why I've worked on special projects for customers, making personalized furniture to fit in their specific spaces, applying strong structures and high quality in manufacturing processes and professional finishing.
This product was develop based on ISO 13485 requirements, researching materials, processes, and planning the product life cycle. The objective was to reduce the psychological and physical injury of vaccine applications. Preventing the syringe from breaking and changing the visual perception of the sharp shape.
I'm a person who's always learning, and most of the time I'm looking for new softwares that can help me develop products.
These are some of the softwares that I use the most, but I'm always open to learn new ones if the project requires me to.
It is an advanced design colaborative platform, allowing the design of high quality and innovative products within a single environment.
I use it to make digital models oriented to mechanical products, it gives the possibility to generate digital simulations, topologic analysis, and parametric design.
It's used to make photorealistic renders, this software offers great quality and fast processing, also, it is continuously updating based on users' feedback.
I have basic knowledge on how to use the basic adobe tools like AI, PS, LR, and XD, this is completely oriented to graphic design and product presentation.
3D modeling parametric software, in which you can do:
-Drafting,
-Modeling,
-CAM
-CAE
-Analysis or Simulation
I use it to model organic shapes, it has some integrations like grasshopper that give you access to generative design and design automation.
I mostly use it to make animations or very specific renders, it gives a very high quality, but requires more time to process the renders.
Depending on the technology is the slicer software that you have to use, I have knowledge on how to use Cura for FDM, PreForm for SLA, 3DBuildManager for MJP, etc.
Feel free to contact me if you have any project in mind in which I could be part of.
